Arabic Diploma Overview:

The Arabic Diploma program has been designed to provide coverage in the main sciences of the Arabic language, such that graduate of the program can traverse primary source material, in it’s original language. Basic through to advanced texts in Arabic Grammer (Nahw), Morphology (Sarf) and Rhetoric (Rhetoric) are covered as well as general texts, which provide an immersive environment. Focus is heavily directed on reading, speaking and listening, through interactive lessons delivered by our instructors.

Arabic Foundation (10 weeks):
Al-Kitab al-Asasi- Level 0

Level One (11 weeks):
Arabiyyah Beyna Yadayk
(Book One – Part 1)

Level Two (11 weeks):
Arabiyyah Beyna Yadayk
(Book One – Part 2)

Level Three (11 weeks):
Arabiyyah Beyna Yadayk
(Book Two – Part 1)

Level Four (11 weeks):
Arabiyyah Beyna Yadayk
(Book Two – Part 2)

Level Five (15 weeks):
- Matn al-Bina; Sarf (Morpholgy)
- Al-‘Aajurramiyyah- Ibn al-Aajurram; Nahw (Grammer)
– To begin reading Qisas al-Nabiyyin- Abu’l Hasan al-Nadwi

Level Six (15 weeks – 2 lessons a week):
To complete Qisas al-Nabiyyin- Abu’l Hasan al-Nadwi

Level Seven:
Sarf (Morphology): Nathm al-Maqsud

Balagha (Rhetoric): Al’Awamil al-Mi’ah- ‘Abd’l Qahir al-Jurjani

Level Eight:
Nahw (Grammer): Qatr al-Nada- Ibn Hisham
Al-Adab al-Arabi: Takwin al-Malakah al-Lughawiyyah – al-Bashir ‘Isam

Balagha (Rhetoric): Mi’a’tul Ma’ani wa’l Bayan- Ibn al-Shihnah

Level Nine:
Nahw (Grammer): Alfiyyah ibn Malik w/ Sharh Ibn ‘Aqeel
Sarf (Morphology): Lamiyyah Ibn Malik
Al-Adab al-‘Arabi: Al-Mu’allaqat al-Sab’

Registration dates for Level 1 of the Foundation (Arabiyyah Beyna Yadayk, Book 1- Part 1) is open until 8th of July 2020.
